Low Price Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera with 20x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

Having owned a Canon Powershot S1 IS for several years, this camera had many familiar touches. There are some differences, too, so there is a bit of a learning curve. However, the more I use the camera, the more I appreciate the changes. For example, to set the self-timer, I push a button on the back of the camera instead of one on the front top. The view finder is much more clear and the LCD screen is significantly larger than previous models - and very usable when I choose to not use the view finder. What I like about this over many cameras in its price range is that it has multiple automatic settings and it has manual settings for the serious amateur who wants full creative control over what the camera does. The ONLY down side I have found is that the camera really does not support lens filters. I have been able to gently screw the 52 mm UV filter from my old camera in place, and I have not had any problems doing so. But I can tell the few threads on the lens are not really intended for this use, so I won't be changing filters any more than absolutely necessary. If Canon would make that one change, I would say this is the perfect camera for someone who does not need the step up - in both price and weight, as well as cost - of a full DSLR, but who wants to do much more than point and shoot.Get more detail about Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera with 20x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom.
